1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Business describe the relationship between you and Life Plan Investments Limited ("LifePlan", "we", "us" or "our"). Our registered office is 1 Fitzhaven Square, South Circular Road, Limerick, V94 T9N6, Ireland. Our advisers are based at 77 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Grand Canal Docklands, Dublin, D02 VK60, Ireland; visits are by appointment only.

Life Plan Investments Limited is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland under reference C1700. You can check the firm's entry on the Central Bank of Ireland Financial Service Provider Register. Regulation does not mean that the Central Bank recommends an investment or guarantees its performance.

Please read these terms before asking us to provide a service. The service agreed with you, these terms and the documents for a particular product govern the relevant relationship.

2. Our service

We are an investment product intermediary. Through the service agreed with you, we help people approaching retirement and retirees understand available fixed-rate bonds, investment funds, fixed-term deposits and pension or retirement-planning options. We may explain product features, charges, access conditions and risks, introduce you to a provider and support an application.

The service available depends on our permissions, provider appointments, your country of residence and the service agreed with you. We will explain whether we are providing information, an introduction, application support or another service before you proceed. A conversation does not automatically include a personal recommendation, ongoing review service or pension transfer.

What we do not provide

We do not provide tax, legal or accounting advice.
We do not guarantee a return, income, rate, capital value, provider acceptance or product availability.
We do not operate the product, make the provider's acceptance decision, hold your investment money or carry out provider transactions unless the agreed documentation says otherwise.
Information on this website is general information and is not a personal recommendation. A recommendation is only made where it is within the agreed service and based on the information and assessment required for that service.

3. Information and responsibilities

Please give complete, accurate and current information about your objectives, circumstances, experience, financial position, country of residence and ability to bear loss where relevant. Tell us about material changes. We may be unable to assess or progress a service if information is missing or cannot be verified.

We will explain the scope of the service, relevant remuneration and product charges before you proceed, provide or identify relevant product information and tell you when a provider or another specialist is responsible for the next step. You remain responsible for deciding whether to proceed. Read the provider's terms, key information, disclosure documents and illustrations before applying or investing.

4. Charges, remuneration and conflicts

We do not charge a separate introduction fee. Where applicable, the relevant investment company, fund manager, bank or other product provider pays us commission or other agreed remuneration. Before you proceed, we will explain the amount or calculation basis, timing, duration and any ongoing remuneration relevant to the product and service.

A product may also have management, administration, transaction, advice, exit or other charges. Provider remuneration can create a potential conflict of interest. We will explain the relevant payment and product charges so you can consider them with the product's features, costs and risks. This explanation does not replace any provider-specific remuneration disclosure or remove any disclosure required by law.

5. Applications, acceptance and payment safety

A website enquiry, uploaded form or client application does not open an account, place an investment, reserve a rate, create a product contract or mean that a provider has accepted you. We may contact you for clarification. The relevant provider carries out its own eligibility, identity, financial-crime and acceptance checks and confirms the product contract.

Do not send money, payment instructions or full bank credentials through a general website form. If you proceed, pay only to the account designated in the provider's formal documentation and verify payment details with the provider using a trusted contact method. LifePlan does not receive or hold your investment funds.

6. Product risks and documents

Investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest. A fixed interest rate does not by itself protect capital. Bond repayment depends on the issuer meeting its obligations; funds are exposed to market movements, underlying assets and charges; deposits are subject to the institution, term, withdrawal conditions and the applicable deposit guarantee scheme. Inflation, currency movements, liquidity limits, early-access penalties and tax treatment may affect the outcome.

The specific provider documents state the legal product, issuer or institution, terms, charges, risks, access arrangements, maturity and any applicable protection. Deposit or compensation protection is subject to the rules and eligibility conditions of the relevant scheme.

7. Cancellation and withdrawal

There is no single cancellation or cooling-off period for every service or product. Any right to cancel, withdraw, sell, transfer or amend an arrangement, the deadline and any cost are set out in the particular provider contract and applicable law. These terms do not remove a product-specific or mandatory consumer right.

8. Complaints and compensation

If you are unhappy with our service, use our Complaints Procedure. You may contact the Complaints Manager at complaints@lifeplaninvestmentsltd.com or by post to our registered office.

If a complaint remains unresolved after our final response, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman, subject to its jurisdiction and time limits. Compensation arrangements, if any, depend on the responsible firm, relevant scheme, type of loss and applicable eligibility rules. We do not promise that compensation will be available or payable.

9. Personal information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, administer requested services, meet legal and regulatory duties, protect our systems and establish or defend claims. Our Privacy Notice explains this processing, retention and your rights. A product provider may be a separate controller and will provide its own notice.

10. Governing law and consumer protections

These terms are intended to be governed by Irish law, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing in them excludes or limits a responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. A consumer may retain any right to bring proceedings or use a complaint route in another jurisdiction where applicable law provides it.
